I was so fortunate the listing agent was out of town and Luis was there. I knew when I walked in that this was my place, but I was so early in the process that I hadn't even connected with an area realtor yet. Knowing this was a beautiful, unique property in a competitive area, it was important to me to make a strong offer right up front to maximize the chance that mine would come out on top. Luis encouraged me to slow down, look carefully at the property, and be sure it was truly right for me. He asked a lot of questions and spent time learning about my situation. He met me at the property several times, suggested other geographic areas that might work well for me if I wanted to broaden my search, and ultimately guided me to write an offer that did indeed come out on top! We sailed to a 30-day closing, with Luis communicating seamlessly with the lenders, the condo managers, my financial advisors, and my insurance broker. Every time I had a question he got back to me within hours, even at night and on the weekends. Admittedly I had a lot of questions since I've never bought anything but a single-family residence before this. I often felt as if I was his only client, I couldn't believe he could be providing this kind of white glove service to several people at a time. And now, after closing, I'm sure we will continue to be friends because in the process we've developed a real relationship. Even when it goes smoothly, buying or selling property is stressful and Luis' good humor, good sense, ability to problem solve, personable nature, and relentless optimism are exactly what you want in your realtor!
